The ƒ/cam

ƒ/stop Fitzgerald's Public House was started during the summer of 2009.  Billed as "Salem's Smallest Pub", it has lived up to that moniker.  Seating 24 people comfortably, but close enough that interaction is not only encouraged, but necessary at times.

Owner/operator Kirk Kindle put the pub together piece by piece.  Not one to rush things, he waited until the materials he wanted to use became available.

The benches were found on Craigslist.com, as were the tables and chairs.

The bar itself, as well as its matching top half, are from a stack of wood Kirk's cousin had.  They took their time in finding the right cut, and then painstakingly sanded and varnished the wood to the breathtaking beauty you see in the pub where you order your beverages.

The wood floor has, again, been painstakingly sanded, varnished and sanded again.  Bringing the wood back to its original beauty.

Kirk bought the house and lived in it some 30 years ago.  After a few years he started his business there, and turned it into offices.  After 20 years of various companies renting the offices, the building now contains ƒ/stop Fitzgerald's Public House.

When you stop in, make sure to look at the beauty of the woodwork, it is truly remarkable.

If the back of the bar looks vaguely familiar, it's because it used to be the front of the bar at DaVinci's Restaurante before they remodeled.  Kirk added shelves to hold all manner of memorabilia, wine bottles, and assorted snacks.

Come in and take a look around inside ƒ/stop Fitzgerald's Public House.  There's a lot to see, and you may not see it all... as Kirk continually adds to the flavor of the pub with more and more little touches.
